In optical communication networks, Hiphotonics' Fused Wavelength Division Multiplexer (WDM) is an optical tool for either merging or splitting optical signals of various wavelengths. Multiplexing and de-multiplexing—which let the WDM transmit several optical signals over a single optical fiber—are its guiding concepts. Operating on single-mode fibres, fused WDMs have low insertion loss, minimal excess loss, and quite low polarisation sensitivity. Tight quality standards and proven fused biconical taper technology are employed in manufacture to guarantee great dependability and performance.

Couplers, filters, and isolators are among the several devices available for the Fused WDMs running in 1465 nm and 1550 nm.
